Keeper (2025) is a psychological folk-horror film directed by Osgood Perkins.

I was honored to have the opportunity to design a custom, handmade-feeling alphabet set for the film, and to typeset it with a very subtle, just-right balance of letter and line spacing to embody the film’s story - one that speaks to an elegant, restrained old secret.

I love the condensed quality of the type, which hints at something hidden and slightly sinister.

For the color treatment, I chose a soft, light orange to work through the blending mode, allowing it to carry through the muted color palette of the opening and the sequence of mysterious female footage. The abstract honeymoon backplate at the end is another highlight and further supports this atmosphere.
