PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS

TITLE SEQUENCE | DESIGN + CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

- January 2025

Predator: Killer of Killers is a 2025 American animated sci-fi action horror anthology and the eighth entry in the Predator franchise. I led the initial visual development and later refined it further. The title sequence is unique for combining diverse styles—from Vikings and feudal Japan to World War II.

Concept

Predator: Killer of Killers is a 2025 American adult animated science fiction action horror anthology film. It is the sixth film and the eighth installment overall in the Predator franchise. I was responsible for developing the initial visual direction and further expanding it throughout the later stages of production. This piece is unique because it required blending multiple styles within a single title sequence—from Vikings and feudal Japan to World War II and beyond.

Early Explorations

We explored many design board directions to best meet the client’s needs. You can see one board that uses red as the main visual theme, combining elements from the film to create a violent, dark atmosphere. We also developed a board centered on white, with an ink and sketch style to evoke the feeling of telling the story on a canvas.

Finally, you can see how the boards shifted in an even more distinct direction. We introduced completely different styles for each time period to make each phase in the film feel unique.

In the last section, I’ve included a few additional frames from the feudal Japan sequence that I created, though they didn’t end up appearing in the final cut.

Feudal Japan Section

Below are a few additional frames from the feudal Japan sequence that I created, though they didn’t end up appearing in the final cut.
